My sweet handsome Cooper turned 5 on October 6th. He just looks so big to me in these pictures! He had been looking forward to his birthday for so long and could barely wait to start the day. He was supposed to have school but ended up getting sick so he got to spend the day with me.

The Saturday after his birthday was his party. It was his first real friend party so I went a little overboard but it was awesome! He originally wanted a Ninja Turtle Party but when we went to go look at cakes, he saw the Mario cake and immediately wanted a Mario party instead. I'm not quite sure what it was about the cake that was so amazing but I'm glad he picked what he wanted.
I had fun making these chocolate mustaches the night before. They came out super cute!
We had Mario hats that I made, stick on mustaches and question mark goodie bags. Everything looked so cute put together. Everything was supposed to be outside but it was calling for an 80% chance of rain so I set everything up inside instead. Luckily it didn't start raining until 3 minutes after the party ended so it worked out perfectly because we were able to do all of the activities outside.

Sweet little best friends
First up was a Yoshi Egg hunt. This was so perfect because our backyard is awesome for having Easter Egg Hunts which we do every year so this was definitely and easy fun activity for them. I bought 200 plain white eggs and drew green dots on them to make them look like actual Yoshi eggs. It was fun!
All Cooper really wanted was a pinata. He has been begging for one for years and finally got to have on so he was a happy boy.
My friend Tami made this amazing Pin the Mustache on the Mario poster. It came out awesome!!
We played Mario Bingo and Coop won! He was soo excited!
He got so excited about every single gift. He's such an easy boy to please.
I love this picture. Every single one of the boys oohing and aahing over the Transformer he got. They were dying to open it, haha.
The party was definitely a success and definitely reminded me why I only do big parties every other year, ha!
