I've been wanting to go up to Tweetsie Railroad for years now and we finally went. We went up to Linville Falls when we first got there so we could hike up to the waterfall. It was a gorgeous fall day and it was really beautiful.
We went to Tweetsie that night for their Ghost Train Festival. The train ride was pretty spooky and they had a haunted house, rides, and freaky forest. I was worried that Cooper was going to be too scared but he ended up only freaking out once so it was a lot of fun.
I thought Cooper would NEVER ride this but he did and LOVED it. I was shocked. We all rode this at least 20 times. It was by far the kids favorite thing to do there.
The next morning, we went back to Tweetsie for the regular daytime stuff. We did the train ride right off the bat and we loved the cowboy show they did. Haven loved the train and insisted on sitting every time it moved. It was cute.
The highlight of Haven's day was this little petting zoo and especially this goat. She was obsessed with it and would not leave him alone. She just wanted to pet him, feed him and talk to him. It was beyond cute.
He even tried to eat her shirt, haha!
Yes, Haven even rode this. She loved it and put her hands up with everyone else. She's my little daredevil!
We went swimming that night at the hotel so that was a treat for the kids. We love indoor pools!
On our way home, we stopped by a gem mining place. I used to go to a place around here when I was a kid and I really wanted the kids to do it too. They thought the whole thing was awesome and got super excited every single time they found a gem. Definitely worth it.
Haven fell asleep on the way home and her head kept falling so we found a way to fix the problem ;)
