HollyFest

It was the absolute perfect day for HollyFest. 65 degrees and sunny. I couldn't have asked for anything better! Addison LOVES HollyFest and looks forward to it every year. The best part about it is that it's completely free. Phillip set up his Edward Jones booth and they have lots of other businesses there that give out free stuff like candy, bags, toothbrushes, etc...It doesn't take a lot to make a kid happy! They do have stuff for sale like food and some businesses are there selling their stuff but all the rides, pig races and petting the animals are all free. It's fantastic!

She was definitely too small to ride this one b/c she couldn't reach the bars that she was supposed to pull to make it go but she still liked it anyway.

Cooper even got to ride on some too! He did NOT want to get off when it was done.

Trunk or Treat

Tonight was our ward's trunk or treat. Addison has been SO excited about it all day. She loves trick-or-treating. Just a few pictures of the kid's costumes!

I have no idea why he was excited about checking out the candy seeing as he has no idea what it is but he loved going through it and picking up every piece to look at it.

1st Real Haircut

I finally did it. I cut Addison's hair! Her first real haircut! When she was about 2 1/2, I trimmed a little off the bottom in hopes that it would grow faster but it definitely did not. I cut Cooper's hair last night and ever since then, she's been begging me to cut hers. I agreed only because its' so ratty and out of control and she HATES when I brush it because it's so tangly. I cut of about 6 inches and I love how it came out! (Although I was a bit sad about losing all of her curls at the bottom)

Halloween preview : )

So I wanted to try Cooper's costume on beforehand to make sure it would fit because I got it on sale last year after Halloween. It was so stinking cute, I had to buy it (it's a garden gnome) but as you can see here, he did not agree. He wouldn't even keep it on for 3 seconds. I had to get Addison to hold his hands down just so I could get a quick picture. I laugh every time I look at it ; ) Without the hat, he just looks like a lumberjack so I had to get another one that he would actually keep on.

This is the second one I got that I borrowed from a friend and he's super cute in it but I'm still a little partial to the gnome. Oh well, at least this hat has velcro so he'll have to get used to it!

NC State Fair

I loved going to the fair as a kid and teenager and I have been wanting to take Addison for YEARS but Phillip hates it and it's kind of expensive so we just haven't gone. For my birthday we got tickets to go and Phillip even promised that he wouldn't whine about it : ) We really had a great time. Addison was big enough to go on most of the kid rides so we had lots of options. Cooper even went on some too. We originally weren't going to bring him so we could spend some one on one time with Addison but we changed plans and he came with us. We're really glad he did. He was perfect! Didn't cry AT ALL even though he was in the stroller most of the day. Phillip finally got his giant turkey leg that he'd been talking about for a while and all Addison wanted was rainbow ice cream so that's what she got. The whole fair smelled so stinking good! I can't wait until next year!

Party time!

We had Cooper's party yesterday and I got to make his cool cake. My friend Tami let me borrow this cake kit and I think it turned out so cute! We had a great time at his party with all of our friends and I can't believe it's over.

I had to make some extra cupcakes so I got this idea from a magazine and although I'm not really happy with how they turned out, they worked out fine

He was so tired he could barely sit up straight so he tried lying on the high chair. It was too cute.

He's obsessed with a tv show called Yo Gabba Gabba and this is one of the characters on it. He loved this toy! It sings and he was dancing along with it for the rest of the party
