Myrtle Beach Trip number 2

We decided to surprise everyone again and go to the Passey's annual BBQ they have in August so we could hang out with everyone again and so the kids could have more cousin time since they couldn't bear to leave 2 weeks ago.  They of course had a blast.  They couldn't wait to go swimming and boogie boarding which is Addison's favorite thing ever.

Addison was teaching Cooper how to boogie board.  It was the cutest thing EVER.  They don't always get along so when they do, it makes my heart happy.  Cooper of course loved it and didn't want to stop.

We had a movie afternoon with everyone to watch Muppets Most Wanted

Last night we went to Broadway on the beach to walk around the boardwalk.  They have a great park for the kids and the kids did a couple of rides too.  Lucky ducks!

Marbles

One of the many things we did during Addison's track out was go to Marbles Kids Museum.  We LOVE this place.  We were there for 4 hours and they didn't even go to all the exhibits.  They would stay there all day if they could.  I ended up getting a membership so we can go there whenever we want now!  

1st Myrtle Beach Trip

We went to Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago to surprise Phillip's mom for her birthday.  She was surprised and happy to see us :)

It rained pretty much all weekend but after eating at a restaurant that was right on the beach, we headed down for a little while during a break from the nasty weather.  It was perfect. Not sunny, breezy and nobody there but us.  It's always the best time to go in my book.

We told the kids to just get their feet wet but clearly that didn't happen, haha.  He got way too deep and then fell head first into the water.  It was pretty funny and ended up riding back to Shawna's house with no clothes on!

A Few Randoms

A few randoms from the past month...

My dad took the kids down to the pond near his house so the kids could feed the geese.  They love doing that with him.

Addison got an Easy Bake Oven at a yard sale for $3 so she's been doing a couple of kits a week.  It's really cute and she loves doing it by herself.

During Addison's track out my mom took Addison to see The Little Mermaid.  Addison absolutely loved it.  She said it was very different than the movie and has been singing the songs for week.  Glad she likes shows!

Baby got banished to eat on the bench since we didn't have enough room at the table.  But she was oh-so cute!!

Daddy took the kids to McDonalds while mom was at a baby shower...enough said :)

My mom has recently taken up crocheting and made these hats for the kids.  They came out insanely cute!! Can't wait for winter so they can wear them all the time.  Haven especially loved hers.  She would not take it off and when we tried, she screamed bloody murder and wanted it back on.  She kept patting it to make sure it was still on.  It was cute and very surprising because she's never wanted anything on her head before.  

Blueberry Picking

I've never been blueberry picking before so when my mom asked if I wanted to go, I definitely wanted to try it.  I really loved it.  It was a little warmer than I would like but we had fun.  Cooper liked that they were in front of his face instead of having to bend down and get them like strawberries.  

My sister-in-law made this dress for Haven while I was there in May and it is beyond cute!  She had also made this sun bonnet last year for her and it matched perfectly.  Can't get enough of her!

Perfect Saturday Afternoon

The past month or so the weather here has been really great for August in NC.  Unusually cool and when it hasn't been raining, it's been way less humid than usual.  We found this park close by that we have fallen in love with.  It's so cool and reminds me of a park I used to go to as a kid but it a little far to go to all the time we called "the castle park".  Now we have a new park to call "the castle park"!

So cool!

1st Day of School!

Addison started school a few weeks ago.  It's crazy she's already in 3rd grade already!!  It's the first time she's wanted to pick something out herself for the 1st day of school so we headed to Target and she tried a few things on and then immediately fell in love with this dress.  She is so stinking cute!!  She has a great teacher and has really liked school so far this year.

She wanted me to take a picture of her second day of school outfit.  She's been into dresses lately and I love it!!
