Random pictures from this month.  It's been pretty quiet lately but we've had a good couple of weeks.

Cooper and I went on a Mommy/Cooper date a few weeks ago to Chic-Fil-A.  They had a mother/son Knight with it all decked out in a castle theme, red carpet and torches.  We had so much fun!  We went to see Paddington after dinner and it was actually pretty good.  Cooper laughed so hard at some parts he fell out of his chair.

Addison recently got interested in cross stitching and my mom used to do it a lot when I was younger so I asked her to help.  Addison is actually really good at it!  She was so proud when she finished her whale.  She also just finished an Easter Egg and did 90% of it on her own.  So glad she likes doing this!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Addison's school friend from the past few years moved away last year and came back for a visit over Spring Break.  She was soooo excited.  It is fun watching her with her friends.

 We were playing the dice game and Haven kept trying to put the chips on her eyes so Phillip demonstrated.  She thought it was hilarious.

 Cooper and Addison's bed were originally bunk beds that we just put as 2 twin beds.  We were going to put them together in a few months for Haven to have the bottom but Bella was staying with us for a couple of days so we went ahead and put them together so she wouldn't have to sleep on the air mattress.  Haven is super excited about it though.  She keeps climbing in and up and down the ladder.  She'll be in it soon enough!

My mom took these last week.  She is soooooo stinking cute!!

Snow Day

After being out of school the entire week last week because of an ice storm, we had an actual snow day yesterday.  I actually had no idea it was supposed to snow until we woke up and Addison was literally walking out the door to go to the bus stop and we were told we had a 2 hour delay.  The snow just kept coming down and school was cancelled for the day.  The kids had fun playing for a couple of hours.  We're supposed to get a lot more tonight so we will see!

Addison Turns 9!!

My big girl turned 9!! It seems like she just got baptized last month so it's crazy to me that she's 9 already.  She's a wonderful big sister and super smart in school.  We love you Addison!!

She always picks doughnuts for her birthday breakfast.  She wanted 9 since she was turning 9 but I'm pretty sure she only ate 3 ;)

Cooper has been DYING to give her his present.  About 5 minutes after Cooper got Magnatiles for Christmas, Addison was asking for some too.  Luckily I had another set that I wasn't sure what to do with so he gave those to her.  It was beyond cute to see him get so excited about it!  He wanted to play with her right then so they could build something extra big with 2 full sets.

Her best friend Maddie gave her matching doll pajamas that Tami made for her.  They are soooooo cute and exactly what Addison wanted.  

Addison was definitely ready to pop her birthday balloons with $9 inside.  She'd been counting on that money to save for the cruise.

So, Kirsten was my absolute favorite American Girl doll when I was a girl.  I just loved her and thought she was so beautiful.  I was really into Little House on the Prairie and she reminded me of Laura Ingalls.  That particular doll is retired but I found her on eBay and bought her even though Addison didn't show any interest in her.  About a month ago we started reading all of the Kirsten books and Addison fell in love with her too. My manipulation worked! :)  She was so excited and surprised to get her.  

Since she has so many dolls now we needed to get her a bigger bed for all of them!

I was never planning on buying her a doll wardrobe because clearly I had bought too much already but when I saw this one, I knew I had to get it.  Clearly I have a problem!  At least I can admit it!

The kids can have a big birthday party with their friends every other year and this year was Addison's.  When I told her that they just opened up an American Girl doll store in Charlotte (about 3 hours from us) she immediately said that instead of a party she wanted to go to the doll store with me and my mom.  I was definitely up for that.  No planning involved and I LOVE the doll store and bistro.  Then Travis got married so we definitely wanted to bring Bella and Ashlee and then we decided to bring her best friend along too.  It was beyond fun for everyone. The girls all brought their dolls and we had an absolute blast.  

I set up appointments for each of the girls to have their dolls' hair done in the doll salon.  They thought that was really fun.  They got to go through the catalog and pick out which style they wanted. It was cute. (And expensive! I'm not convinced it was worth the cost but it was still fun)

The best part about going to the store was going to the bistro. Everything about it is so cute.  And so pink!  I loved it. It was so girly and even the food was cute.  And surprisingly it was good too.

My beautiful birthday girl!!  I ordered a cake for her for dessert and we all sang and she seemed really happy.  Definitely a success! 

About a month before the trip, my mom decided that she wanted to get a hotel so we wouldn't have to drive both ways in one day.  I was so glad we did that because we were all really full and tired after dinner.  She specifically got one that had a hot tub and we were all extremely glad about that.

Maddie and Addison shared a bed and they were beyond tired.  I think they fell asleep about 10 seconds after I turned the TV off. We had an amazing weekend and she had a great birthday.  Birthday number 10 probably won't be so over the top!

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Our Chick Fil A does a special event once a month and this month was a daddy daughter date night.  Phillip was excited about it.  He called her and asked if she would go with him, she got all dressed up and he came to the door to pick her up.  It was really cute.  They both had a lot of fun and Phillip said she talked his ear off the whole time so that was good.

After dinner, he took her to see Night at the Museum 3.  She loved it although she hasn't seen the first 2 so we'll have to rent them sometimes.  Next month is mommy/son date "knight" so that will be fun for me and Coop!

Marbles

It's track out again so we went to Marbles. We've been going a lot more lately because we got a membership but this was the first time we took Bella.  We had gone over Christmas break and will definitely not be making that mistake again because it was BEYOND crowded.  We could barely even move and the kids couldn't even play so it was nice to go back when there was hardly anyone there. We stayed for over 5 hours and the kids got to do everything and anything they wanted.

The kids spent a full hour and a half playing with the giant legos.  They built a massive "castle" that they were very proud of.

Haven just wanted to hang out in the water all day.  I think she was there for a good 45 minutes while the big kids played on the pirate ship.
