We went to Myrtle Beach for Sarah's (Phillip's sister Shawna's new daughter) blessing a few months ago and am finally getting around to posting some of the pictures. We went on a big family picnic at a state park and then walked down to the beach for kite flying and playing in the sand. Addison also fell in the waves, fully clothed, which she thought was pretty funny although I didn't get a picture of it. We had a great time!

Kids' Rooms

Ever since we found out for sure it was a boy a few weeks ago, we've been wanting to get the nursery done. Right after we found out, Phillip insisted we drive straight from the doctors' to Lowe's to get paint samples. It was very cute. Anyway, Phillip painted it last Saturday and we've been working on getting everything else in there this week and it's done! I know it's way early and we still have 4 months until Cooper gets here but this is one huge thing off of our list of things to do so we're excited! I also took pictures of Addison's room that we did last year when we moved her to a big girl bed. We both absolutely love this room because it's just so girly and frilly. I never got to do a nursery with her because we were in an apartment so when I got to do a big girl room for her, I went girl crazy!

We had our big ultrasound this morning and it went great!  I was a little nervous just because I had been doubting it being a boy since the ultrasound was so early and wasn't sure they could really tell but it's definitely a boy!!  Everything else looked great and measured perfectly also. We got to see the 2 sides of his brain, the 4 chambers of his heart and just about everything else so it was a great appointment.  Phillip wanted to go right away to Lowes to get some sample colors for the room we're painting next month so that's next on our list!  We are so excited and so is Addison. She's been kissing my belly like crazy and she signed "I love you" with her fingers and put in on my belly.  It was so cute!!

12 Weeks

12 Weeks

As you can see from the above pictures, we're finally pregnant! Yay! We are due October 17 and couldn't be happier! It's been a pretty uneventful pregnancy except for the excessive sickness which has finally started to get better. We went down to Myrtle Beach this weekend and finally told Phillip's family since he wanted to do it in person. They were all very excited. Also, since we had so many problems last year, I've been getting ultrasounds at every appointment so we were able to find out that it is a BOY!!! Addison is excited to have a brother (I think) since all of her friends have younger brothers. She still has no idea what's really going on but she seems excited when we talk about it and always says that she will share her trampoline with him. Anyway, we are all very excited and can't wait for October!

Addison really loved Easter this year. We did a little Easter Egg Hunt in our backyard and then colored and decorated eggs, which she had a great time with. We colored eggs at my mom's house earlier this week so she finally got the hang of it this year. When she woke up Easter morning, she remembered that the Easter bunny was supposed to come when she was sleeping so she was asking about her basket. She looked everywhere for it and finally found it in the bathroom. She just stared at it and asked "is this for me?" She was also SOOO excited to wear her "beautiful princess Easter dress". She's been really into clothes lately, which I love so it's been fun. We spent the rest of the day at church and at my parents' for dinner and we had a great day. Happy Easter!!

Williamsburg Trip

My grandpa has a time share in Williamsburg, VA and he could only use it for the first part of this week so he offered it to us for the last few days of the week so we gladly took it! It was a big 2 bedroom condo so we also invited our friends, the Boyers to come with us and Addison loved having her friend Madison there. We stayed at a great place that had a ton of stuff to do there, perfect for the kids. We went miniature golfing, swimming, to the playground and there was also 2 huge arcades there where all of the games were free so Phillip and Jared spent a lot of time there. Addison's favorite thing was swimming, probably because she got to use her water wings for the first time and was paddling everywhere all by herself. We kept forgetting to take the camera to the pool so we don't have any pictures there but it was still really fun. She also loved the "hot pool" (the hot tub) and refused to get out of it until I bribed her with watching a movie at the condo. We all had a great time and it was nice to get away for a few days to relax!!!
