Movie Night with dad

I went to a movie with my friend Megan to see The Time Travelers Wife (which I bawled through by the way) so Phillip decided to have a movie night with the kids. He borrowed Toy Story since Addison hadn't seen it before and she LOVED it. I dont think Cooper really cared all that much : ) She asked to watch it twice the next day. She was happy because she got a whole bag of popcorn to herself and got to stay up late. She asked when I was going to see another movie so I guess she had a good time with dad.

Some New Pictures

We went to my mom's to pick up Addison after getting out of the hospital and she was sooo excited to meet him. When I walked in, all she was saying is "where's Cooper, where is he, I want to see him". It was really cute. She just wanted to rub his head and rock him in his car seat all day.

So, Cooper pretty much sleeps ALL day. We can't get him to wake up for anything. Of course, he seems to be awake at night with no problem : ) Even though it was 1 in the morning, we just had to play with him and take a bunch of pictures since we hardly ever get to see him with his eyes open. He is so stinking cute!!

Cooper Chase Passey is finally here! We are so excited and we love him so much already. I still can't believe he's here and that I'm not pregnant anymore. It's a little surreal. So, we were supposed to come into the hospital this morning to be induced but it seems that he didn't want to wait that long. We were celebrating my birthday early so we went to Chili's for dinner and all through dinner I kept getting contractions so I told Phillip we had to leave and drop Addison off at my parents. We were already planning on that because we were supposed to go see a movie and have Addison just sleep over since we were supposed to be at the hospital at 6:30 AM so it worked out pretty well. We decided to skip the movie and go straight to the hospital and got there around 8 PM. Well of course as soon as we got there, my contractions pretty much stopped but they decided to keep me since I was just going to come back in the morning. About 2 hours after nothing happening, the doctor said she was going to break my water, which she did and immediately the contractions came on hard and fast. I was able to get my epidural around midnight but it only worked on one side of me so I was still in a lot of pain. About an hour after that I felt like I needed to push so the nurse came and checked me and said I was definitely ready and called the doctor. I had to wait for them to all get set up and as soon as she said I could start pushing, I did and his head immediately came out. We were shocked. I pushed one more time and the rest of his body came out. It was so fast! Phillip got to cut the umbilical cord this time around so we were happy about that. He's such a beautiful and calm baby. He didn't make a sound during his bath or at all when he's been awake. He's been alert and happy all day. He was born at 1:17 AM weighing 7 lbs 7 oz and he is 20 1/2 inches. We love him so much! The only really hard part about being here is that Addison is not allowed to visit. Because of the H1N1 virus, children under 18 can't come in so that's been really hard on me but other than that, everything has gone perfectly!

Pumpkin Farm

A friend invited us to go to this pumpkin patch/hayride place and we thought it was perfect because Shawna and Joseph decided to come up for the weekend for a visit. The girls loved it! They had a ton of stuff to do there. Games, donkey rides, a corn maze, animals, a hayride, face painting and pumpkin decorating. We all had a great time and I love October!

Fun Night Out

There was a members appreciation party for the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce last night and we had a great time. The weather has been so nice lately and it was awesome to not have be sweating outside the whole time. They had a great dinner, 2 bouncy houses, face painting and balloon animals. Addison was pretty much in heaven, especially since it was at a park so she got to play on that too. She specifically wanted a blue flower painted on her face so that's what she got. So cute!! The best part about last night was there was a bunch of door prizes that they had drawings for and we ended up winning one of them. It was the one I really one I wanted too. We won a 4 hour rental of a bounce house and it doesn't expire until March so we'll probably use it for Addison's birthday in February. I was so excited to win something I actually wanted!!

Happy Birthday Phillip!!!

Phillip is such an old man!! I can't believe he's 28. That just seems so old to me for some reason. So close to 30! So, his office is finally getting finished and all of the furniture was delivered this morning and he was so excited about it. We're all excited that his office will be up and running next week. That was a great birthday present for him. Unfortunately he had to be there while they were delivering it and then he had to go to a town meeting at night until 8 pm so we didn't really get to do anything. I did cook his favorite meal though, roast with mashed potatoes. Phillip isn't really a big cake eater but he saw these cupcakes in a magazine I had and he thought they were pretty cool so I decided to make them for his birthday. They were especially appropriate because they are covered in Jelly Belly's, which are his favorite. They came out pretty good, almost exactly like the picture and they were super easy. Anyway, Happy Birthday Phillip!!
