Myrtle Beach Trip

Every year Phillip has a work meeting for the weekend, usually in Myrtle Beach. It's nice everyone gets to bring their families and it's always something we look forward to. It's always nice to stay in a hotel, get breakfast and dinner made for you and lots of for the kids to do. We actually did a lot. We met up with Phillip's sister Shawna at the aquarium, shopped a little on Broadway on the Beach, LOTS of pool time, shopping at the outlet mall and of course the beach.

Poor Cooper never really got to nap and the kids didn't get to bed before 11 every night so they were completely exhausted but he wasn't too cranky. He especially liked the aquarium and the pools.

Camping

We had been wanting to go camping with our friends for a few years but it never seemed to work out. We finally went and had a great time. I have to say though that it's a bit complicated with kids and you have to bring SO much stuff. Our entire car was completely full from top to bottom and in between all of the seats. Totally crazy for only 1 night! Also, it was around 95 degrees when we got there and were setting up. I pretty much thought I was going to die of a heat stroke. Luckily we had a fan and that helped but it was really swimming in the lake that cooled us off. It was so nice to be able to go cool off and then just hang out at the campsite. We had 8 adults and 10 kids. Crazy but we all had a blast!

My brother Travis flew into town for a quick surprise visit. My dad said that someone was coming later in the day but wouldn't tell me who. I was SO excited. We hadn't seen him since Christmas so it was a great surprise!

Kickoff to Summer!

We had a great Memorial Day yesterday. A friend invited us over for the day so we got to go swimming, had a cookout and topped it off with Just Dance and Cranium. Perfect start to Summer!

Graduation Day!

My baby girl graduated pre-school today! I can't believe she's done already. It's been a quick school year! She was so excited to go today and had a great time. I asked her if she was sad that school was over and she said "no way, I'm ready to go to Kindergarten". Sigh...

By the way, her school is called "Little Hands Preschool"...hence the reason for the handprint shirts.

Virginia Trip

Phillip's brother's oldest daughter Abbie turned 8 last week so she was able to get baptized yesterday. We were so excited to go up to Virginia since it was the 1st time in a very long time that all of Phillip's family got together. We had a blast and it was really special to be able to see her get baptized all together as a family. Afterward, we went to this beautiful park right outside of Richmond for a picnic and it could not have been a more beautiful day.

He couldn't quite get up this bridge by himself so he kept peeking at us to try to get us to help him up. We just laughed at him and took a picture ; )

My husband brag

So, I have to have a little brag on my husband. For Mother's Day, he picked out some amazing presents all by himself and let me say that I was very impressed. He was SO excited about what he got and kept telling me every day the week before Mother's Day that he wanted me to open them because he just couldn't wait. He did a great job. I love that he will actually pick out clothes for me because he really does know what I like so I've never really been disappointed in what he's gotten (except for some cat pajamas for my first birthday we were together ; )

I can't believe he actually coordinated everything together. Like I said, I was very impressed and I can see why he was so excited to give them to me!

He even wrapped it perfectly (which he was also very excited about) because he knows how much I love pretty wrapped presents
