Lowe's Building Workshop

I signed Phillip up to take the kids to one of the building workshops that Lowe's has every few months. They had so much fun.  They even came home with their apron, goggles and another building kit.  The best part is, is that it's all free!  Hopefully they can go again soon!

Birthday Girl

My big girl turned 8!!  She was so excited for her birthday.   She had planned it down to the minute for months.  Presents and breakfast in the morning, lunch with grammy and grandpa at Red Robin for lunch, swimming with our friends in the afternoon and then watching a movie with Root Beer Floats when we got home.  Unfortunately we had a massive snow and ice storm and we were homebound all day so she was a bit disappointed about that.  We tried to make it fun anyway!

Since we couldn't leave we decided to do a treasure hunt for the kids.  They loved it!

This is how she spent hours of the day.  She LOVES Facetiming with people.  She was chatting with her friend Maddie for an hour.  She was SO cute.  They sang to each other, read each other books and talked for a while.  Love it!

The next day we were able to get out so we had a makeup birthday. Lunch with Grammy and Grandpa at Red Robin...

Then the pool with our friends. We went to a cool indoor pool in Raleigh and they had so much fun.  They especially loved the Frozen cupcakes.  They are all obsessed with that movie.

American Girl Trip!

For Addison's birthday Grammy date over track out, my mom decided to take her to the American Girl store in DC.  We were both SO excited about it.  Addison didn't know anything about it and didn't even know she was going anywhere until we left.  I packed a bunch of stuff for the long car ride, which we ALL appreciated : )

When we got there, my mom covered her eyes and had her wait until we were right in front of the store to surprise her.  She was DEFINITELY surprised!!  She was beyond excited and couldn't wait to go in.  She also couldn't believe that she got to pick any doll she wanted!    

She walked around the store for a long time, just trying to decide which one she wanted.  It's such a great store.  All the dolls are so cute!

She finally settled on Kit.  That was the one I thought she would get since she had just finished reading the books about her with my mom and LOVED her.

After shopping, we got to eat at the restaurant that they have in the store.  It is seriously the cutest!  They have chairs and plates, etc... for the doll too.  Addison loved it and so did I!

My mom wanted to take Addison to the D.C. temple since she hadn't seen a "big" temple yet.  She kept saying how beautiful it was.  I completely agree.  We walked in the lobby and then went to the visitors center.  We had a great time.  I'm so glad we made the stop there.  I hadn't been there in years.

Addison and her 2 dolls. She LOVES them!  We stayed for 2 nights and we had such a great time. We spent the next day at a huge outlet mall, swimming in the hotel pool, eating out and relaxing.  It was definitely a great girls vacation!!

10 Months!

She's getting so big!  It's crazy to me that she will be a year old soon.  She's such a happy baby and she's finally sleeping so much better.  About 11 hours straight so everyone is happier around here : )  She is very active.  She doesn't want to be in her bouncer or walker so she just cruises around all day following me or her brother or sister around all day. She loves to play with them so much.  She LOVES food.  She just wants to eat anything and everything we are eating.  She will just stand right next to us saying "mmmmmmm" louder and louder until we feed her some.  It's really cute.
