Last boat ride for a while

My dad is selling the boat and probably won't get another one for a year or two when Brenan moves back so we decided to take one last ride on it.  I love going out at night.  Not crowded, no sunscreen needed and we get to eat dinner on the boat.

Ok, so I took a million pictures of Cooper and Phillip on the tube but he was just SO happy on it and having so much fun.  Every time there was a bump, he would just laugh his head off.  Phillip just started bouncing it up and down on purpose so he would laugh.  It was SO funny.

Phillip was finally able to slalom today.  It was awesome.  

It was unusually cool today so the kids were freezing after getting out of the water.

 

You don't even want to know what was going on in this picture ; )  Let's just say that Addison didn't listen to me when I told her to go to the bathroom before we left the house.  Gross...

This is Cooper on the tube and loving it.  He just kept laughing and asking to go faster. So it starts off with them going pretty slow then faster and faster until he about had enough bouncing around.  Glad he had such a good time!

Phillip got a pretty good ride on the tube too...until of course he biffed it at the end. Hahaha!

Memorial Day

Phillip had the idea to take my dad's canoe out today.  I hadn't been on the canoe since I was a kid and I don't know why we haven't taken it out before because we had a lot of fun.  Addison was nervous about it because she was afraid it would tip and she'd fall out but she eventually got over it. She especially loved it because it went super slow.

After the canoe we went to the playground near the lake for a little while for the kids to run.  Cooper was loving this rocking dino.  Obviously... ; )

Busy, busy day!  After that we went to our friends house to swim and have a cookout.  It was SO nice to swim in the hot weather!

After swimming we had a yummy cookout and the grownups played rockband while the kids played upstairs.  They came down and wanted a turn.  They were really, really cute!

Celebrate Fuquay

Every year our town has a Celebrate Fuquay event with food, rides, entertainment, etc... but we've never gone because it's always been burning hot but it was beautiful yesterday so we took advantage of it.  It was really fun, especially for the kids.  And the best part about it was that it was completely free!  I thought we would have had to at least pay for the face painting but it was free too so we definitely waited in line for that.  

It seems like Addison is always getting her face painted and she LOVES it.  She loves to pick out what she wants and asks for the entire rest of the day a million times if the paint is still on her face.

This was the first time Cooper's had his face painted.  He just sat stone still probably trying to figure out what the heck was going on.  He went back and forth between getting Spiderman or a dog.  The dog won and he was just the cutest dog I've ever seen!

Addison was dying to ride some rides so we hurried on over to the helicopters which were actually really fun.  I rode with the little kids and they were laughing the whole time saying how high they were. Cooper kept saying "we're flying, we're flying so high"

They went on this pirate ship ride that rocks back and forth and they had fun putting their hands up in the air every time they went up.  Such little daredevils!

Addison loved the swings.  She loved that they went fast.  Cooper wasn't tall enough unfortunately.

Addison had been waiting all day to go on the slide and she wasn't disappointed.  All the kids loved it and I have to say, it was REALLY fun.  I rode with Cooper on my lap and he just laughed the whole way.  I don't have a picture of the kids since I rode at the same time as them but here's one of my friend and 2 of her kids.  They loved it too.

After the rides, we got a yummy funnel cake, bloomin onion and ribbon fries and chowed down.  Nothing like a bunch of fried foods for a Saturday afternoon!
