Painting Pumpkins

For FHE last night we went to the Boyers for our annual Painting Pumpkin night.  This is a tradition that Tami grew up doing and I had never done it before we met.  We love it!  Especially the kids.  Every year in September they start asking when we are going to paint.

The Big 3-0

I'm finally 30!  When I got married, I thought 30 was SO old.  Thats so funny to me now because I certainly don't feel any different.  I guess a lot has happened in the last 10 years but sometimes I still don't feel like a "grown up" ; )

Phillip stayed up until 2 in the morning the night before my birthday to get everything ready. Wrapping presents, putting balloons all over my bedroom floor, decorating the kitchen, making my cake and making about a month's worth of my favorite breakfast burritos.  It was awesome!  He did a ton and it turned out great.

I am especially impressed with the cake.  Apparently he baked 3 cakes to put them together like this with different flavors just in case I wanted more than one.  It was delish!

Even the kids were really good all day.  They played nicely together, didn't fight or talk back and kept wishing me happy birthday all day long.  It was very cute.

 Before we went to dinner, we had my cake and opened presents.  It was so fun!

Phillip and I went to my favorite seafood place by my parents house and it was amazing!  One of the best meals I've ever eaten.  We hadn't been out together by ourselves since February so it was awesome to go out just the 2 of us.  It really was a fantastic birthday!

4!!

Happy Birthday Cooper!  My big boy is 4!  I feel like he's grown up so much since Haven has been born.  He is such a big brother and loves to take care of her.  He also really loves playing with Addison.  He doesn't even mind when she bosses him around ; )  He loves to read above all else.  He would sit and read with me all day if he could.  He also loves to cook with me.  We try a new recipe at least once a week and he gets more into it every time.  He's always telling me what new things we can make with a lot of random ingredients that I don't always think would taste very good ; )  He also loves just playing by himself.  He will sit in his room and play for hours with his toys.  He likes his alone time ; ) He's like me that way I guess.

He has been so excited for his birthday for the past month.  He wanted to go to Krispy Kreme and pick out donuts for his birthday breakfast.  Since his birthday is on Sunday we went last night to pick some out.  He was especially excited about his spiderweb donut and football donuts.  (Don't worry, he only ate one of those.  He just wanted to pick out 4 since he was turning 4)

He got to pop the balloons waiting for him with dollar bills.  This has become a favorite in our house (who can blame them!)

We finally got him his own helmet and he loved it.

Last night Phillip saw this at Michaels and just had to get it.  So funny.  He loved drinking his chocolate milk through his glasses.  He kept going cross eyed trying to see the milk go through.

Addison picked out a CD for him that plays songs with his name in it.  Addison got one for Christmas a few years ago and he thinks it's so cool so he loved getting one of his own.

I didn't wrap the next one so he had to close his eyes 

So happy it's a scooter!  Now he can ride with all of his friends.  

My big 4 year old!!

I got this about a year ago at a Target Clearance sale and have been dying to give it to him.  He has absolutely loved it all day today.  He hasn't stopped playing with it since.

Since his birthday was Sunday, we went to Chuck E Cheese today (the 7th) with my parents and the Boyers, some of our best friends.  He has been looking forward to this for months.  We haven't been there in forever so it was a real treat for them to go.

He had a great birthday and I can't believe he is 4 already.  I'm just happy we did everything he wanted and he had a fun few days!

6 months!

It doesn't seem possible that my baby girl is already a half of a year old.  She's finally starting to chunk up a little.  Her thighs especially.  I love to pinch them!  She is usually pretty happy although she does seem to get fussy at night.  The trick to remedy that is ALWAYS the bath.  She loves the bath so much.  She would stay in there all day if I let her.  She "talks" a lot.  She always seems to be babbling when she is playing.  She says "mamamamamama" and "dadadadada" over and over again which of course we love.  She loves to be in her excersaucer and jumper, especially when the big kids play with her in them.  She is still a rolling machine and will be halfway across the room sometimes in just a few minutes.  The days of being able to lay her on a blanket and have her stay there are definitely over. She LOVES to be outside and hardly ever makes a peep when we are which is going to be especially nice in the months coming up while we do all of our fall activities.  She has gotten to love Cooper more this month.  He makes her laugh like crazy and she always smiles when he comes into the room, which of course he loves.  She has always loved Addison but it took her a little while to warm up to Cooper.

This is pretty much how you can always find her throughout the day.  She loves sucking on her stinky feet!  I'm surprised she's so flexible!  She's got some cute little chubby feet too ; )

Bike Rides!

We went over to my parents' house on Saturday to enjoy the beautiful weather and to go on bike rides.  Addison was really looking forward to this although this was the longest bike ride she'd ever been on so she was pretty nervous about getting too tired.  She ended up having fun but she crashed a few times and kept stopping herself so she wouldn't go too fast.  Hopefully the next one will be easier for her!
