Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We started the day off by carving our pumpkin. Usually we do it the night before but I completely forgot. I've been sick all weekend so I've been completely out of it. After 20 minutes, I finally convinced the kids to scoop out all of the goop after I cut the top off. Addison didn't want any part of it. She was done after 2 scoops. Cooper loved it...of course ;)

It was raining all afternoon so I wasn't sure about Trick or Treating but we decided to go anyway. Luckily, it stopped as soon as we got out there and it wasn't even too cold so we had a great time. We went again to a neighborhood that Phillip doorknocks a lot. There are a million kids and pretty much every house has their light on with great decorated porches. I want to move there so bad! We went with our friends so Addison loved running from house to house with them and taking turns ringing the doorbell. I didn't take any pictures since I didn't feel like carrying yet another thing around but the kids pretty much looked the same as Friday night for Trunk or Treat except with layers upon layers of clothing under their costumes. They were both wearing 3 pairs of pants and 3 shirts. Luckily I didn't have to have them wear their coats. I really didn't want to cover up their cuteness!

Trunk or Treat

We had our ward Trunk or Treat tonight and the kids loved it. Cooper couldn't believe that just by saying Trick or Treat, he would get candy. He was so surprised every single time. He just plopped his candy in his bucket and off he went to the next person. Unfortunately it was raining so we had to do it inside but we still had a blast. Addison originally wanted to be Tinkerbell but then she changed her mind to Cinderella. I was OK with either since she already had both dress-ups but then I found the Peter Pan costume at the consignment sale. I told Addison that I had gotten it and she immeditely changed her mind back to TinkerBell. My plan worked! Anyway, we had a great time and they can't wait to go real trick or treating on Monday!

Beautiful Sunday afternoon

We went to the park tonight after dinner to enjoy the beautiful weather. I can't seem to get enough of it. I live for this weather all year long. I haven't had to turn on the air or heat the entire month, which in itself is amazing in North Carolina. The park we went to has this pond with tons of fish and turtles in it so the kids loved watching them.

Family Weekend

Phillip's sister, Shawna, and her family come up every October to visit. I love it! The girls love each other so much and we love going to this hayride place together every year. We had a perfect October day so it really couldn't have gotten better!

Twinner girls. When I got up this morning, I saw Maddy's shirt and I couldn't believe it because I had gotten Addison the same exact one. And we both got them from consignment shops. And Maddy wanted her hair done just like Addison's. They are adorable!

We had been trying to get them to hug each other all day so we could get a picture but mostly Cooper refused so I was excited to get a picture of them finally. Megan said that we can put this picture in their wedding slideshow ; )

Mommy Daughter Night and Glow Bath

My friend Megan invited a bunch of us over for a Mommy/Daughter makeover night. Addison LOVED it. She had an absolute blast and still been talking about it a week later. Her favorite thing was painting my fingernails all by herself. It was very cute. She even put my makeup on and it actually came out pretty good. I was highly impressed!

Megan posted a picture of her kids with glow sticks in the bath and thought that was a fantastic idea. I knew the kids would love it and they totally did. They thought it was the greatest thing ever. Plus, we had to wash all of that pink out of Addison's hair. The sparkles were getting all over the house!

Birthday Boy

My big birthday boy is 2! We love him so much I can barely stand it. He's such a funny kid and does the cutest things all the time. He's so observant and loves to copy everything we do. He loves Addison and loves playing with (and teasing) her. I'm so so glad he's part of our family! Happy Birthday to my boy!

My parents and Quin came over for pizza and cake. We finally got to enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having and got to play outside for a bit. Couldn't ask for a better day!
